Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

0

Are you one of those people who see your glass as half full, or do you see it as being half empty? I hope you said half full! If you did you have a positive approach to life. You miss so much if you look at life through the
half-empty glass. Taking the negative slant on life leads to a life of negative thinking whereas the positive side of life is filled with happiness and excitement.

Take a moment and write down all the things that you may consider as being wrong in your life. Then, on a different piece of paper, write down all of the good things in your life. For a negative person, this can be quite difficult. Start with simple things. Did you wake up happy? Was your breakfast enjoyable? Do you have your own car to go to work?

Each any every one of these things are good and are a positive part of your life. It can be so easy to
think about the negative things: I don’t get paid enough, my car is old, and the cereal wasn’t fresh. Half the world would love to have the things you took for granted just this morning!

What do you ever get out of life by looking at the negative aspects of your life? Are you a complainer? Are you a complainer because of your circumstances or do your circumstances make you complain? How much
worse could things be? When you really think about your life, aren’t you truly blessed compared to others around the world? You only have to turn on the world news, or local news for that matter and see the misery or heartache someone else is enduring. There rarely ever is ‘nice’ news, because the world is too full of people complaining about their plight and unfortunately… unhappiness sells. Don’t let yourself be one of these people.

Try thinking positively as a way of finding happiness and satisfaction in your life. Complaining does nothing except make others around you feel bad, and if that’s your intention, you need to re-think your
relationship.
